Carson City families have a wide range of summer camps, youth programs and free community events to choose from this summer! Check out the list below which includes full-summer and multiweek camps, weeklong programs, day programs and short-term activities, as well as free family events and community programs.

Full-Summer and Multiweek Camps

Camp Carson, offered through Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space, is a full-day summer camp for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. The camp runs Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and includes STEAM activities, arts and crafts, swimming, skits and songs, group games, field trips and recreation.

St. Teresa Summer Camp will run June 8 through Aug. 7 for students entering first through sixth grades. Families can choose the weeks they need or register for the full summer. The camp is $175 per week and includes weekly field trips, full-time care, activities, new friends and a safe, active summer environment. Registration is open at stts.org. Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada Summer Camp will also be offered at the Carson City Clubhouse. The organization serves students in grades K-12 and offers summer hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Summer programming includes STEM, sports and outdoor recreation, arts and crafts, leadership and career development.

Tumbleweeds Gymnastics Summer Camps will include Carson City camp options this summer. Programs include Tumble & Play Summer Camp and Adventure Camp, with activities such as gymnastics, tumbling, trampoline, games, obstacle courses and outdoor adventure-style programming.

ComputerCorps Summer TechCamp 2K26 is returning to Carson City for students ages 9-15. The two-week camp runs Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., with sessions beginning June 15, July 6 and July 27. Campers learn computer recycling, testing, assembly, operation, security and best practices, and each participant takes home a Windows 11 Pro computer.

Weeklong Camps and Summer Programs

Hope Bridge Summer Camp is offering two sessions in June, the first from June 8 – 12 and the second from June 15 – 19. Each day runs 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with extended hours available from 4:30-5:30 p.m. taking place at the Carson Montessori School.

Western Nevada College College for Kids is offering several summer camps for ages 8-14 on the Carson City campus. Options include iLead, scheduled June 22-26 and July 6-10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Skiing is Believing Summer Sports Camp, with sessions listed in June and July.

Camp Invention: Spark will be held June 8-12 at Bethlehem Lutheran School, 1837 Mountain St., for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. The STEM camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and also offers leaders-in-training spots for students entering grades 7-9.

AYSO Carson City Summer Soccer Camps will include several 2026 camp sessions. UK International camp weeks are scheduled July 6-10 and Aug. 3-7, while Challenger camp weeks are scheduled July 13-17 and July 27-31.

Wild Horse Children’s Theater Summer on Broadway 2026 will feature Disney’s “Aristocats, Kids.” The production camp is listed for students entering grades 2-8, though registration filled quickly and was listed as full.

Youth Theatre Carson City is offering “Something Rotten Jr.” as a summer intensive for performers in grades 6-12, with performances scheduled July 17-19. The group also lists a summer musical theater camp for younger students.

Brewery Arts Center Young Authors Academy begins June 8 and gives children ages 8-12 a chance to write, illustrate and bind their own book.

Brewery Arts Center Ms. Michelle’s Music Corner is a six-week Monday music series for elementary-age children beginning June 29 and running through Aug. 3.

Girls on the Run Sierras Camp GOTR will be held in Carson City from Aug. 3-7 at Eagle Valley Middle School. The half-day camp is for girls ages 8-12 and includes movement, games, friendship-building, art and storytelling.

Day Programs and Short-Term Activities

Teen Trip to Defy Trampoline Park Glow Hour is scheduled May 29 for ages 11-18. The trip includes transportation from the Carson City Community Center, entrance, a private party room and pizza.

Teen Trip to Tahoe Treetop Adventures is scheduled June 6 for ages 11-18. The trip includes transportation, entrance and lunch.

Clear Creek Bowmen Archery Camp is scheduled June 15-16 for ages 9-14.

July Gardening Camp is scheduled July 8-9 for ages 9-14.

Fly Fishing Camp is scheduled July 15 for ages 9-14 and includes casting, knot tying, fly tying and a trip to a regional lake.

Youth Kayak Clinic is scheduled July 23 for ages 12-17 and includes equipment, transportation and lunch.

Summer Swim Lessons are scheduled June 15 through Aug. 6 for children ages 3-15 through Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space.

Junior Lifeguard Camp is scheduled Aug. 3-6 for ages 10-15.

Rise 8 Skills, Drills & 3v3 Basketball Camp includes a grades 2-4 session July 27-Aug. 12 at the Carson City MAC. The program focuses on dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, teamwork and small-sided games.

Free Family Events and Community Programs

Kids to Parks Day is scheduled Saturday, May 16, at Mills Park. The free Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to kids and families of all ages.

National Trails Day 2026 Celebration is scheduled Saturday, June 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ambrose Carson River Natural Area. The free event includes a guided hike and kid-friendly activities.

Pollinator Palooza 2026 will be held June 13 at the Nevada State Museum in downtown Carson City. The family-focused event includes pollinator-themed crafts, face painting, honey tasting, sidewalk chalk art, food trucks, vendors and museum activities. Activities in the Dema Guinn Concourse, Loftin Park and westside parking area are free; museum gallery admission is free for children 17 and younger and $10 for adults.

Carson City Library Summer Learning Challenge returns in 2026 with a dragon-themed reading quest called “Wander Beyond Words.” The library’s reading challenge page says the Summer Learning Challenge is open to all ages and uses Beanstack to track reading minutes and participation.

Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series will bring free, family-friendly outdoor concerts to the Brewery Arts Center on Saturday nights this summer. The 2026 series is celebrating 10 years of live music, community and the arts.

Junior Park Ranger Day is scheduled Saturday, Aug. 8, at Pete Livermore Sports Complex. Carson City says more information is still to come.
