Nevada Humane Society

You can now support Nevada Humane Society just by taking your dog out! Walk for a Dog is a simple, year-round fundraising app. It promotes healthy interaction between dogs and their owners, and raises money every day to support the mission of local animal shelters like Nevada Humane Society. It also gives people a reason to think about Nevada Humane Society every time they take their dogs for a walk.

“We are so excited to be on board with this new app. It’s good for everyone! Whether you are walking your own dog or you are one of the NHS volunteers walking a shelter dog, it all benefits us — so be sure to select NHS when choosing your beneficiary!” said Kimberly Wade, Senior Manager of Communications and Events for Nevada Humane Society. “Every walk counts, whether it’s a quick walk around the block or a leisurely three mile hike. The more people actively walking with the app the greater the benefit for our homeless pets.”

You can get the app here.

The app is easy to install and available for Androids or iPhones. Once downloaded, you simply select Nevada Humane Society. Be sure to take your phone every time you walk a dog! The app keeps track of your walk and is credited to Nevada Humane Society. Donations are funded by sponsorship, advertising, and investors of WoofTrax.

Nevada Humane Society is open for adoptions seven days a week at two locations from 11am to 6:30pm and an hour earlier at 10am on Saturday. For pet adoptions in Reno, visit 2825 Longley Lane.
