Carson City, NV – Beginning on Monday, February 3, Spanish Springs Construction will begin work on a full replacement of all eight tennis courts at John D. Winters Centennial Park.
The work is anticipated to be completed by July 1.
The existing asphalt courts will be replaced with post-tension concrete courts, including new nets and posts, perimeter vegetation removal, and drainage improvements to the north.
The tennis courts and surrounding areas, including the picnic pavilion, practice wall, and parking spaces, will be closed for the entirety of this project.
Please avoid the area so the contractor can complete the project as efficiently and safely as possible.
This project is generously funded through a variety of sources, including an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) federal grant, Carson City Quality of Life Capital (1/8 cent sales tax), Carson City Capital Improvement Program funds, and a donation from the Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation.
