Key stakeholders, advocates, survivors and community members will meet Jan. 31 at the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City for the National Human Trafficking prevention event, “Reflection on Our Progress: The Need for Continued Action Against Human Trafficking.” The gathering is to raise awareness about the ongoing fight against human trafficking and reflect on progress made so far.
As we observe National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the gathering aims to honor the resilience of survivors, acknowledge the tireless efforts of law enforcement, and highlight the importance of continued vigilance and advocacy in combating this horrific human rights violation.
Event Highlights:
- Panel Discussion: Leading experts and advocates will share insights on the current state of human trafficking in the state of Nevada, including emerging trends and challenges. A diverse group of professionals, including law enforcement, legal experts, and nonprofit leaders, will discuss strategies for awareness, prevention, victim assistance, and policy change.
