ALPINE COUNTY, Calif. – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has reopened State Route 89 (Monitor Pass) at the State Route 4/89 Junction.
Caltrans says maintenance crews made significant progress with snow removal operations this week along with Monitor Pass, and have deemed it safe to reopen to the public. Snowfall this season has been limited.
