Here are photos taken from Carson Now readers of the various flooding events in Carson City and Dayton areas.
Flooding is currently impacting much of the region. By late tonight into Monday storms are going to get colder with significant snow accumulation expected Monday through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service in Reno. Yes, another 6 to 8 feet of snow is expected in the high Sierra with another 1 to 3 feet possible at Lake Tahoe level.

Public works is working on drainages, culverts and unclogging them, both around the west side of Carson City and the east side around the Carson River, which is nearing its banks. Public Works said dozens of streets around the city are experiencing some kind of flooding, according to Carson City dispatch.Go here for a real-time map of the areas in Carson City experiencing flooding. The Emergency Operations Center in Carson City encourages residents to visit www.carson.org/flood to stay up-to-date on the weather, road closures and resources that are deployed across the city. In addition, all official public information that is released from the Emergency Operations Center will be posted to the flood site.

The Dayton area is also experiencing residential and street flooding due to debris and slushy snow clogging local drainages.
Lyon County Manager Jeff Page says crews are working to relieve the blockage of water in these areas both with hand crews and heavy equipment. We are asking citizens to try and avoid driving in these areas.
