A 19-year-old man was arrested Monday for a felony battery warrant and two alleged misdemeanor crimes that happened in September at Carson High School, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Carson City Justice Court issued the warrant on Dec. 30, 2025 for Collin James Favero, charging him with felony battery on a protected person and misdemeanor threat to cause death or bodily harm to a school student or employee and misdemeanor assault.
The alleged offenses happened Sept. 3, 2025 at Carson High School. According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, there had been an ongoing dispute that lead to an altercation between the suspect and another student. During the dispute, threats of bodily harm were made to the victim student. The suspect is alleged to have pushed his way into the classroom as the arguments were continuing. Bail: $15,000.
In other arrests:
— A 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday for a misdemeanor warrant alleging misdemeanor domestic battery. The warrant was issued Dec. 26, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000 cash.
— A 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday for a misdemeanor outside agency warrant issued Oct. 23, 2025 out of Esmeralda Township Court. Bail; $1,320.
— A 49-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday for misdemeanor obstructing and camping in a public park after hours. According to the booking report, a deputy observed the man sleeping near a small shed off William Street. The deputy approached the man, who woke up immediately. The deputy told the man he would have to go somewhere else. The deputy asked the man to identify himself. The man told the deputy we didn’t need to go through that and started putting his boots on.
The deputy asked the man again to identify himself again. The man still refused and began rolling up his sleeping bag. At that time, he was detained. The officer asked the man several more times to identify himself. The man said he didn’t want to identify himself. He was arrested. At the jail, jail staff was able to identify the man. Bail: $300.
— A 27-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and two counts possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.
— A Stateline woman was arrested Tuesday for a misdemeanor petit larceny warrant issued Dec. 26, 2025 out of Carson City Township Justice Court. Bail: Book and release.
— A 31-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and a Department of Alternative Sentencing violation. Bail: $2,500.
— A 46-year-old Carson City woman, Melissa Bailey, was arrested early Wednesday morning for a felony warrant issued Dec. 17, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. No bail hold in lieu of hearing.
