Carson City sheriff’s deputies, the fire department and rescue personnel were called this afternoon to a vehicle that has been found overturned in the Goni Canyon area.
The vehicle was discovered before 1 p.m. by a friend who had become concerned that his friend had gone four-wheel driving and that he had not heard from him for more than 16 hours.
The friend said he tried the man’s cell phone and went to his home and he wasn’t there. He called the sheriff’s office after he went looking for his friend and discovered the vehicle down an embankment. Arriving deputies said the vehicle has been spotted and the occupant has injuries, according to dispatch.
Arriving rescue crews also said the victim may need to be removed from the area via helicopter because the vehicle is located in a remote area where an ambulance cannot get into.
