Nevada Day excitement is already taking off at Carson Mall, where families can participate in a Nevada-themed scavenger hunt for a chance to win a Nevada Day hot-air balloon ride.
The Carson Mall Nevada Day Scavenger Hunt invites participants to walk through the mall, solve 12 Nevada-themed riddles and locate corresponding pictures hidden inside participating businesses. The clues celebrate Nevada icons, history and scenery, making the hunt a fun way for families to test their Silver State knowledge while visiting Carson Mall businesses.
Scavenger hunt forms can be picked up at Magical Moments Photography & Gifts inside Carson Mall. Participants solve each riddle, find the matching picture and write down the name of the business where it was found. Pictures have been placed so they can be seen through business windows, allowing families to continue the hunt even when individual stores are closed.
Completed forms should be returned to Magical Moments Photography & Gifts with the participant’s family name and phone number.
The deadline to enter is October 20, 2026, and the winning entry will be selected that day. One entry is permitted per household, and no purchase is necessary.
The winner will receive an opportunity to ride in a hot-air balloon as part of the Nevada Day celebration, weather permitting and subject to passenger eligibility and safety requirements.
The scavenger hunt is part of Carson Mall’s celebration of Nevada Day and gives local families another reason to get out, explore the mall and join in the excitement leading up to one of Carson City’s biggest traditions.
Nevada Day will be celebrated in Carson City on Saturday, October 31, with the annual parade and festivities throughout the community.
