Carson Now reader Bob Kanuck alerted us to a sign for Mountain Mike’s Pizza going into the old Buffalo Wild Wings building in the Eagle Station area off of South Carson Street.
Kanuck writes: “I noticed a new Mountain Mike’s pizza sign on the building that used to be Buffalo Wild Wings by Raley’s on S. Carson. Just wondering when they might open. Mountain Mike’s was a staple where I grew up and was very excited to see the sign.”
Located next to Aspen Dental office at 3815 South Carson Street, it appears there’s been some construction inside the building but nothing indicating when it may open other than the sign out front.
Buffalo Wild Wings closed its door in November 2023 and Aspen Dental opened in March 2025.
Apparently a business license for Mountain Mike’s Pizza was applied for back in May 2024 but withdrawn a few months later, according to the Carson City Business License Division. As of the time of this writing, there hadn’t been a new license application submitted.
Mountain Mike’s Pizza is a chain of around 300 franchise pizzerias in 10 states, mostly in northern California. In Nevada there are two locations in Reno and one in Henderson.
The restaurants offer pizza, chicken wings, garlic sticks, dessert pizzas as well as a lunch buffet and salad bar. Check out the website here.
