Forest Dale Nord, 28, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2024 at 9:27 a.m. at Renown Regional Health Center, Reno, Nev. He was preceded in death by his father, James “Jim” Nord. He is survived by his husband, Marshall Delbecq; mother Koreen Deeken (stepfather Brian); brothers Joshua Nord (Michelle) and Jacob Nord (Jonathan Quinby); grandmother Marilyn Felt; and mother-in-law Karel Ancona.
Upon graduating from Sparks High School in 2014, Forest lived in Burley, Idaho for a brief period before returning to Nevada. He spent his free time playing video games, Dungeons and Dragons, and Warhammer 40K with his friends, as well as watching M*A*S*H, Moral Orel, King of the Hill, Star Trek, and various anime, including his all-time favorite, Gurren Lagann. He also enjoyed nature and gardening.
Forest will be deeply missed and remembered as a Renaissance man and an old, gentle soul. A funeral will take place Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Nevada. Guests are invited to wear his favorite color, green.
