October 22, 2011 (All day) Gold's Gym is holding a fundraiser to benefit the victims directly affected by the IHOP tragedy. There are numerous events that we will be doing that day. Among them are: a dunk tank donated by Kemp's Fun Jumpers. The Mayor is going to be in that dunk tank between noon and 1 pm. We have Firkin Fox doing BBQ. There will be a DJ and a popcorn machine. We are holding a "Sponsor A Slacker". That entails people getting sponsored to come to a 45 minute class designed to kick their tails! There is also a "Spin A Thon". Sponsor sheets are available at Gold's Gym.

Gold's Gym closes
Submitted by admin on Tue, 12/21/2010 - 9:38amWe have received a couple of reports that Gold's Gym on Topsy Lane closed down over the weekend. One person told me he saw a moving van parked in front of the business on Sunday, and some men looked like they were preparing to move out some of the exercise equipment.
This report claims to have more details, but we have no verification of these facts as yet. But if it is true, then there will be some legal action likely.
