Tickets to the Taste of DownTown Carson City go on sale June 1
Taste of DownTown Carson City tickets, 2,000 of them, will go on sale June 1. The popular culinary event of the summer, Taste of DownTown is held on the third Saturday in June each year and presented by Advocates To End Domestic Violence to benefit victims and their children.
The Taste starts at 5:30 p.m. and continues until 9:00 p.m. with live music playing long into the evening with the last band wrapping the evening up at midnight. The historic downtown streets come alive with tantalizing food, a variety of music and something of interest on every street. People enjoy the evening as an opportunity to hang out with friends, listen to live bands, and sample some of the best food the town of Carson City has to offer. The spirit of celebration and community draws thousands to the historic Capital of Nevada for an event that all enjoy as well as raising funds for Advocates To End Domestic Violence and the emergency services it provides to those in need.

Q. When is the 2012 Taste of DownTown?
A. The 2012 Taste of DownTown will be Saturday, June 16th, with tasting starting at 5:30 p.m. and continuing until 9 p.m. Live bands will be located throughout downtown with music playing until midnight.
Q. Where will the Taste of DownTown be held?
A. This signature community event stretches between 20 downtown blocks of historic Carson City, Nevada from Telegraph Square to 10th street. A mix of restaurants serving out of their own downtown sites as well as restaurants from outside the downtown area will be serving their faire from locations set-up on the streets with live bands scattered in between. Nowhere else can you find such a great collection of culinary delights from some of the areas best restaurants. Downtown shops and galleries will be open and offering raffles as well as showcasing their merchandise.
Q. Where can I park?
A. We always suggest that you park where you plan to finish the evening. Sections of Curry street will be closed from Third street to Telegraph Square, but several parking lots as well as street parking is available. In addition, parking is available around the Legislature and in the Capital’s parking lot.
Q. How much does the Taste of DownTown cost?
A. Tickets are $35.00 per person and entitles the holder to sample at each of the over 30 participating Taste restaurants. Samples are not sold separately. Due to the high volume of people who attend the Taste, parents are discouraged from bringing children in strollers.
Q. Where can I purchase tickets?
A. Tickets are limited to only 2,000 and are available beginning June 1, from Classy Seconds Thrift Shop, Home Treasures, and Carson City Visitors and Convention Bureau. If any tickets are still available the day of the event, they will be for sale at our information booth on the Legislative Lawn starting at 10:00 a.m. It is strongly suggested that tickets are pre-purchased as the Taste has a history of selling out.

A. Unfortunately, we only accept cash and checks.
