Carson City Fire Department called to RV fire near Brown and Gordon streets
UPDATE FRIDAY: Fire investigators sifted through the rubble of an RV that was destroyed Thursday night in a fire. While the cause remains under investigation, the RV appears to have been unoccupied, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office sergeant.

UPDATE 8:19PM: Carson City sheriff's deputies have been called back to the scene of the RV fire for further investigation. It is unknown at this time if anyone was inside the RV at the time of the fire. The motorhome was destroyed. We will update as more information becomes available.

UPDATE: The fire has been extinguished. Carson City Fire Department resources are headed to assist agencies in Douglas and Washoe counties.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Thursday night to a motorhome fire in the area of Brown and Gordon streets in east Carson City.
The call came into dispatch at around 7:10 p.m. A reporting party called dispatch and reported hearing an explosion and seeing fire.
Carson City sheriff's deputies arriving on scene report the motorhome as being fully consumed by fire. It is located in the 3500 block of Gordon Street off of a dead-end road.
Additional resources have been called to the scene including fire investigators.
