Shawn Meehan, a US Constitutional teacher and speaker, will be speaking to the Carson City Republican General meeting at the Carson City Casino Fandango on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m..

According to Teen Health and Wellness, Rosen Publishing, “Sharing stories is a powerful way to connect with other people. By sharing your own story, you can connect with other teens who are dealing with similar experiences. Your words can provide hope and comfort, or empower them to face their own challenges.”

In the pleasantly warm evening air under the trees this past Wednesday, Maurice White, candidate for Carson City supervisor for Ward 2, held a meet and greet at Glen Eagles Restaurant on North Carson Street, and talked to an attentive and respectful audience of about 35-40 people.



There really is nothing more to be said. The only argument a "Democrat" can offer in the name of "being open to new ideas" is either pure marxism or just the same plain old politics of personal destruction.

Here is an idea that that I am sure is "new" to guys like this:
The US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8.
Amendments 1-10.
The Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers.

The choice in the Tesla deal is not between socking the corporation with higher or lower taxes; the choice is between getting nothing from them if the don't come, or getting all the increased sales tax revenue as their employees spend their money HERE. THAT is a win for everybody.

But conventional thinking always degenerates into the predatory socialist politics of greed, and sees everything only in terms of windfalls, favors or corruption. What's the loot, who gets what, who wins, who loses.

This is a plea to the readers of this great news site to educate themselves about the Common Core "State" Standards being implemented in our schools, and to join with the growing numbers of parents and concerned citizens who seek to reverse course and do something better before it's too late for our children and grandchildren.

The Nevada legislature's Assembly Committee on the Judiciary is set to meet tomorrow, Saturday June 1 at 8AM to discuss and possibly vote on Senate Bill 221. Please call and write to express your opposition to this bill.
