New hotel franchise planning expansion to Carson City
Submitted by Brett Fisher on Sun, 07/15/2018 - 8:48pmMy Place Hotels, an Aberdeen, South Dakota-based extended stay hotel franchise, has a building permit under review by the Carson City Planning Division valued at $3.2 million for a brand-new 64-room hotel located at 17 Hospitality Drive, between the Hampton Inn and Suites and the intersection of Arrowhead Drive and North Carson Street.

Anderi has been mastering his craft since 2006, with his talent and hard work leading the way to opening for the likes of D.L. Hughley, Earth Quake and Charlie Murphy.
Also bringing him front-and-center on the historical and legendary stage of the Apollo Theater, along with Laughs Unlimited and Tommy T's comedy clubs, and ultimately to his television debut on Magic Johnson's aspire network's "Who Got Next" comedy special.

Serrano reported as a student at the Reynolds School on the growing fan base of Reno’s local soccer team.
UPDATE: Washoe Lake Dam breach concerns lessen as repairs begin, flood watch canceled

Officials say mitigation efforts have reduced the hazard of a potential breach in the dam at Little Washoe Lake. There was concern the dam could breach or collapse after a hole was discovered in it.

The Nevada Division of Water Resources reports that after a routine inspection Monday, it was determined the Washoe Lake Dam is in danger of potentially breaching that would cause flooding in the Steamboat Creek and Steamboat Ditch areas.

Nearly every television station will broadcast the “ball drop” in Times Square: A large, lighted crystal ball sliding down a 77-foot pole over the course of the last minute of the year. When the ball reaches the bottom, it is the New Year.

Carson City arrests: Pair face felony charges after thefts at Kohl’s and Walmart

One of the two also faces an additional felony charge after an alleged theft of more than $680 in merchandise at Walmart.
