Pedestrian suffers minor injuries after accident with vehicle at Fairview and Bobwhite
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 04/27/2016 - 4:24pmA pedestrian was struck by a vehicle this afternoon in the area of Fairview and Bobwhite, according to Carson City dispatch. The accident happened at around 4:15 p.m.
Arriving Carson City firefighters said the pedestrian was up and walking around and sustained minor injuries to their leg.

That single sentence written by Robert E. Price, author of “The Bakersfield Sound” and award-winning Executive Editor of the newspaper Bakersfield Californian, struck a chord with me, for as we go forth with our “reimagining,” we still don’t have a clear vision/identity of who we were or who we are today.

As his Major League Baseball draft stock continues to rise during his sophomore season, Peters ascended the Wildcat record book with his 13th home run of the season on Sunday at John L. Harvey Field in Carson City.

CSI won Saturday's opening game, 6-4, behind a six-run first inning.

For the first time in the series, the Wildcats got a jump on the Coyotes, scoring four times in the first frame en route to a 6-0 victory. However, the Wildcats were unable to hold a four-run edge in Game 2, losing 10-8.

Carson City emergency crews called to crash involving pedestrian on Fairview Drive

According to dispatch who were taking the 911 call, an elderly man was in his vehicle in a parking lot and accidentally struck his wife who was standing outside the vehicle.
Dispatch was called at 11:52 a.m. We will update as more information becomes available.

Milissa Victorino, 46, died after being struck by a GMC Safari van driven by an 82-year-old man who was traveling southbound on Fairview, said NHP Trooper Duncan Dauber.

A Lyon County sheriff's deputy is recovering after being shot and wounded in the hand Thursday night as he investigated a vehicle outside a Silver Springs casino that was involved in a Sparks carjacking earlier in the evening. A suspect involved died.
