Matt the Electrician Spring Equinox Concert will be Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the Historic Silver City Schoolhouse

For his first time ever in Northern Nevada, Matt The Electrician will play a special show in Silver City. Based in Austin, Texas, Matt the Electrician, will be touring the west coast in March and we landed a date with this master of song.

The acoustic trio “Sure Thing” will appear at the Bank Saloon in Carson City on Friday, Sept. 30. The lineup features local musician Brother Dan Palmer, along with long time musical collaborators Phil Prunier and Jeff Laakso. The trio has been well received at exclusive private parties over the past few years, and this is their first public showing.

The Brewery Arts Center will host another Musicale@TheMaizie event on June 4, 2022 at 7 pm. This new singer/songwriter series in what was formerly the Maizie Harris Jesse Black Box Theater, now simple known as The Maizie has created quite the buzz amongst music enthusiasts throughout the region.

This week, Valentine Francisco aka The Boogie Man, joins host Brother Dan Palmer for an interview and casual musical jam session, when The Brother Dan Show streams live from the Bank Saloon in Carson City on Monday, March 28.

On Monday, January 17, The Brother Dan Show will feature local singer/songwriter Doug Walther. Having first picked up a guitar at the age of 12, Doug began writing and recording after retiring from a 30-year career as a state’s attorney, and released his first CD, “Old School”, a mix of original songs and cover tunes, in 2018. His follow-up CD, “Sit Back and Try to Relax”, was released in 2020.

Christina Forrester, Executive Director and Founder of Christian Democrats of America and the Christians Against Hate movement, will be the featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon.

Miles Construction Company has generously donated the use of a Flatbed Truck and with financial support from The Change Companies, the Nauman Foundation, and Carson Tahoe Hospital, the BAC will place musicians and bands on the flatbed and drive them through the streets and neighborhoods of Carson City throughout June and July.

Tom is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, flutist, saxophonist, and luthier (maker of string instruments), among other things. Heading into the last weekend of January there’s a mountain of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include a Chinese New Year Celebration at the Nevada State Museum and the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada. The Carson Comedy Club hosts its first Military Appreciation Night on Friday at the Carson Nugget. Carson Valley’s 18th annual Eagles and AG Photo Contest will be underway and live music will keep the Silver State buzzing with excitement. Read on for more information.

Chautauqua characters Snowshoe Thompson, Lillian Virgin and Anna Harris return to Genoa, Nev., on Saturday, Nov. 23 5 p.m., at the Genoa Town Hall.

This Chautauqua event features Genoa residents of the past. Chautauquans include Steve Hale as Snowshoe Thompson, the legendary “Mailman of the Sierra”, Kim Harris as Lillian Virgin, the originator of the Genoa Candy Dance and DebiLynn Smith as Anna Harris, early Genoa pioneer business owner.
