Tolles Development Company Hires Cory Hunt as Executive Vice President

Tolles Development Company announces the hire of Cory Hunt as their Executive Vice President. Hunt was previously director of research and analysis with one of the state’s most respected fiscal and economic policy consulting firms.

“Cory brings tremendous expertise in crafting and developing partnerships, navigating permitting processes, and analyzing tax and fiscal programs,” said Par Tolles, CEO of Tolles Development Company. “These skills will be crucial within his new role and will allow us to continue realizing our vision for the success of Northern Nevada development.”

Memorial run, history walks, camel races, veteran resource fair and more: Carson City region gears up for eventful weekend

Heading into the weekend, there’s plenty of activities around the Carson City region to help the next three days breeze by. Events include an artists fair at Carson Mall, the 60th annual camel and ostrich races in Virginia City, a memorial run in Carson City, the 28th annual Oktoberfest in Gardnerville, a Veterans Resource Fair at Carson Nugget, history walks at Mormon Station Park, live comedy and more.

Nevada Builders Alliance signs partnership agreement with U.S. Army

Nevada Builders Alliance, the state’s largest construction industry trade organization, signed the first statewide partnership with the U.S. Army Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program at a signing ceremony with the U.S. Army, local and state dignitaries at noon on Monday, July 17, at Rancharrah in Reno.

Barbara Vucanovich, First Woman From Nevada To Serve In Congress, Honored At Reno Dinner

RENO – Friends, family and political colleagues gathered today to honor and pay tribute to the first woman to serve in Congress from Nevada, the now 91-year-old Barbara Vucanovich.

About 250 guests gathered at Rancharrah for the celebratory dinner, which not coincidentally raised a healthy sum for Republican candidates in the November general election.
