Keep Tahoe Bears Wild: Agencies encourage use of bear resistant canisters
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 08/12/2020 - 1:36pmLAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. – As a reminder, backcountry visitors should practice proper food and garbage storage and behave appropriately when hiking and backpacking in Bear Country.
This summer, wilderness rangers report bears are successfully taking down food-hangs in Desolation Wilderness. Once bears become habituated to human food and garbage they will return and seek it out. Agencies highly recommend using bear resistant canisters when visiting the backcountry.

Our tryouts will be held at Mills Park in the large grass area along hwy 50. Address: 1111 E William St
Due to our COVID-19 challenges, these tryouts are ONLY for new players/teams who did not play for CFC last season. Existing teams/players do not need to tryout.
Ages: U8-U15. All boys & girls born in 2006-2013
Players only need to tryout 1 day

Hundreds return to work at Carson City's Casino Fandango

Nevada's economy was one of the most affected in the country during the COVID-19 pandemic; the initial reopening of Casino Fandango means that over 350 team members are able to go back to work and provide for their families.

While that’s not feasible, it got me thinking. Others may wish they too could garden during these “Stay at Home” times but not have space for an in-ground garden and need to garden indoors, on a patio or on a porch.
