PHS student shares cancer battle with classmates

Vaccination clinics offered through October at Carson City schools

There will be a team of CCHHS licensed nurses at each school to administer the flu vaccine. The vaccination is safe and a health action that benefits all age groups to protect against influenza illness.

A tradition that began decades ago at CHS has seniors jumping out of bed still wearing their pajamas, grabbing their blankets, and heading off to the CHS football field to arrive by 6 a.m.

Adulting 101: Carson City JAG program teaches career skills, communication and self-advocacy

However, Carson City’s own Pioneer High School’s JAG instructor, Chyanne Corley, has taken that idea farther. She teaches her students not only to be prepared for the work force, but to become confident, well rounded adults.

Blake for his 30 years of service to Nevada Judiciary at a recognition event Thursday in Carson City. Gov. Keep Tahoe Blue is hitting the lake shore this morning to help mitigate the aftermath of yesterday’s festivities; lend a hand if you can. If you are looking for something quiet today, check out our local art galleries: they all have revolving exhibits featuring a variety of artists. The True Grit Exhibit at Western Nevada College comes to a close tomorrow, so head up there before it hits the trail.
