Two cases involving stolen, forged credit cards results in three arrests
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 02/23/2015 - 2:38pmThree Sacramento area women were arrested Saturday in two separate cases involving stolen credit cards, fraud and forgery. Carson City Sheriff’s Office investigators are trying to determine if the cases are related, said Lt. Brian Humphrey.
In the first arrest, officers recovered stolen credit cards, equipment to make credit cards, as well as stolen checks from victims in Douglas County and Sacramento, according to the arrest report.

Carson City detectives seek help locating teen runaway
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Fri, 01/02/2015 - 2:25pmUPDATE: A Carson City Sheriff's Office detective said Tuesday that the sheriff's office has located missing teen runaway, Ismeray Uribe, 17. She was found with her mother, said Detective Steve Olson, after the two were spotted with each other on New Year's Eve.
Ismeray is safe. Her mother, however, had a warrant for her arrest on a parole and probation violation and was arrested.
The teen was listed as a runaway after leaving her home Dec. 26.

The dramatic play had its first show this past weekend. It will continue this coming weekend with performances on Oct. 9, 10, 11 at 7p.m. and again at 2 p.m. on Oct. 11. Carson football action: Senators top Damonte in nail-biter

This week's match up was the opening of league play throughout the northern region and it was "Pink Night" for students and parents to celebrate the first game of October and breast cancer awareness. The game was incredibly close from the opening kick off to the final whistle. In the end Carson was victorious.
Carson Tahoe's 'Think Pink' fundraiser draws more than 300 to Red's Old 395 Grill

More than 300 people attended the free kick off event to empower women to take control of their health and get their regular mammograms. Individuals who purchased a "Think Pink" pink t-shirt enjoyed free appetizers courtesy of Red's Old 395 Grill and 100 percent of proceeds from bar sales, raffle ticket sales and t-shirt sales went to the Carson Tahoe Cancer Resource Center for breast cancer education and support.

Woman jailed on DUI, resisting charges after driving pickup into a building
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 09/17/2014 - 11:08amA 53-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday on four misdemeanor charges, including DUI, destruction of private property, driving on a suspended license and resisting arrest after she drove her vehicle into a building, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
The incident happened in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East at 10:41 a.m. Officers arrived and found the woman had driven a white Toyota pickup into the north side of a business. The vehicle was running and still in drive gear, with the engine revving at a high rpm, according to the arrest report.
