Perseids meteor shower
Stargazing program this Saturday at Washoe Lake State Park
Submitted by editor on Mon, 08/14/2017 - 7:28pmJoin Washoe Lake State Park staff for an astronomy-themed program under the stars. Ancient cultures studied the stars for various reasons. Today, relaxing under the stars means taking a break from our fast-paced modern culture. We will point out some common summer constellations and discuss events like the ongoing Perseids Meteor Shower and the upcoming total solar eclipse (which we will not be able to see from the park).
