NNDA Names FISH Executive Director Jim Peckham 2019 Pioneer of the Year

NNDA’s Pioneer of the Year award honors an individual who both personally and professionally supports and has had a significant impact on the economic development and growth of the region.

Northern Nevada Development Authority: Mineral County Joins Nevada’s Sierra Region

The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development \has designated NNDA as the regional development authority (RDA) for the county, effective July 1, 2019. Mineral County joins Nevada’s Sierra Region that also includes Carson City, Douglas County, Lyon County and Storey County.

Temperatures are expected to actually lower toward the end of the week. Chamber Orchestra Students returned from their successful regional music festival in San Francisco, several CHS students enjoyed job shadowing with Nevada Legislators, and May 21 offered students access to its job and career fair throughout the day.

Welcome Carson City to Monday, Feb. 18 where all that's left, at least for the next couple days before the next system arrives, is the snow removal. Oh, and it is also President's Day with federal, state and local government offices closed, including schools. Bundle up when headed outside. It is a cold one. Today's high will be in the low 30s.
