The Harley-Davidson bike was revealed as part of the Las Vegas Harley-Davidson® groundbreaking, where the winner will be announced at the store’s grand opening event on or about Nevada Day, Oct. 31, 2014.
Carson Animal Services Initiative kicks off its 2014 fundraising efforts with its Woofs, Wine and Whiskers event

Carson City workshops seek public comment on proposed sales tax plan
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Fri, 01/10/2014 - 3:13pmCarson City will hold three public workshops this month that are designed to answer questions and solicit comments regarding a proposed 1/8th-cent sales tax to fund several infrastructure projects.
The money would help pay for a new multi-purpose athletic center, known as the “MAC,” a new animal services facility, and streetscape beautification and safety enhancements along the Carson City’s main commercial corridors and the downtown area.
Carson City restaurant, food and health inspection report

Carson City's FISH homeless shelter, food pantry gets 28-kW rooftop solar array

That means 28 kilowatts of clean energy helping FISH provide medical services, groceries, showers, clean clothes, and yes, a Thanksgiving meal to those in the capital city who need it most.
NCJFCJ receives $2 million for Juvenile Drug Court Training

Nevada advocate for elderly, former Carson City Supervisor Janice Ayres dies

Ayres was the executive director of the Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program, a position she held since 1979. RSVP Board member Charlie Abowd confirmed her passing and said directors will meet Tuesday afternoon to discuss arrangements.
