The Carson High Theatre Arts department is proud to present "The Addams Family Musical" Friday, April 12 at 7 pm, April 13 at 2 pm and 7 pm, and April 14 at 2 pm.

"The Addams Family" is about a ghoulish American family who revolve around darkness and death. Wednesday, the daughter, falls in love with Lucas, a boy from Ohio. After many musical numbers, the ending is something quite spectacular. (I don't want to spoil it for you!)

I just returned from Orange, Virginia from a conference held at Montpelier, former US President James Madison's estate. I was chosen among applicants to attend this conference because I think our community needs to know the cool educational opportunities in which teachers are embarking. The conference covered “Gender, Sexual Identity, and the Constitution.”

On March 29-31, 2019, Youth Theatre Carson City will be performing their Springtime Double Feature 'Frog and Toad Kids' and 'Disney's The Jungle Book Kids'. The times will be Friday, March 29 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 30 at 2 p.m., another show on Saturday March 30 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 31 at 2 p.m.

'Disney's The Jungle Book Kids' is about a boy named Mowgli who lives in a jungle with many other animals. He is being hunted down by the mean tiger, Shere Kahn. Come see the show as you watch Mowgli's fantastic journey to defeating Shere Kahn.

Sierra Nevada Ballet welcomes in the Spring Season with the annual production of Brew, Brats and Ballet-A Celebration of choreography on April 6 (7:30 PM) and April 7 (2:00 PM) at the Reno Little Theater and on April 13 (7:00 PM) at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.

This year the BBB presentation features six different choreographers with each one presenting a special short work and a short talk before it. The program culminates with a post performance Q and A session between choreographers and audience.
