A 42 year-old Dayton man was arrested early Friday morning at 1:37 a.m. in the 2200 block of E. William Street for a pair of felony offenses, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, including methamphetamine trafficking and drug possession for sales.

A man and woman were arrested Thursday afternoon on multiple felony offenses, including child abuse, drug possession and prohibited person possessing a firearm, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

Recently a reader asked me about growing hemp. According to Penn State Extension, hemp was often found in early settlements and used as a fiber source.
