Nevada jobs report shows growth in August, unemployment unchanged
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 09/18/2019 - 10:57amCARSON CITY — Statewide employment figures in August show Nevada is up 5,400 jobs over the month and 42,100 over the year, with the state's unemployment rate at 4.1 percent, unchanged from June and down 0.4 percentage point when compared to last August, according to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s monthly report released Wednesday.

She received a message from her husband, who she had separated from six weeks previous, that he wanted to come over and make their children breakfast and take them to the park. ShaRae agreed, as any mother would.
When her husband, Cortney Staley, arrived, nothing seemed amiss. He came and made their children breakfast, and she went to work.

Carson City sober-living facility closes, declares bankruptcy after client's death: Part II
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Thu, 09/05/2019 - 10:38amOn July 25, Joe Tummarello, a long-term client with Carson City-based sober-living facility Lyfe Recovery, passed away at Carson Tahoe Hospital. By all accounts, a month before his death he had been in fine health for a man of 76. He dealt with COPD and needed an oxygen tank to breathe in the high altitude of northern Nevada, but a check-up with his doctors during May of 2019 showed he was nowhere near the brink of death.
However, after being relocated to Carson City from Lyfe Recovery’s Reno facility, Joe’s medication was withheld and he was denied medical intervention after a rapid deterioration of his health, which ultimately, it is alleged, led to his death.
Nevada Health Link’s new call center, website now live
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 09/04/2019 - 10:20amCARSON CITY — The Silver State Health Insurance Exchange, Nevada’s state agency that helps individuals obtain budget-appropriate health coverage through the online marketplace, Nevada Health Link, announces that starting Wednesday, consumers who previously purchased qualified health plans on HealthCare.gov can claim their migrated accounts on Nevada’s new state-based website, Nevada Health Link.
This is the first step enrollees should take to ensure their account is ready for open enrollment beginning on Nov. 1, 2019.

This occurred during a return trip from Las Vegas. Alberto Jimenez surfed a broken femur along with a serious facial laceration.
