Community helps Dayton Food Pantry reach its Thanksgiving goals

“I can't thank everyone enough. During November, the community helped the Pantry reach 1,250 people who needed food," said Pantry manager Alie Trier.
Feds Feed Families Food Drive Kicks Off In Carson City, runs through Aug. 28
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 07/29/2013 - 12:20pm“Feds Feed Families” a food drive to benefit the hungry in our community has kicked off again for the summer. In Carson City, federal employees from USDA Rural Development, the Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Federal Highway Administration, and the U.S. Geological Survey will be volunteering and collecting donated food in front of Grocery Outlet, at 1831 N. Carson, on Aug. 3 and Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day. Grocery Outlet owner Dave Cox provides discounts on purchases for food drives.
