For Quinn-Davis, the publications staff became a part of her family every year and even more so when students stayed with the program throughout their high school careers.
Carson High School students compete in virtual Future Health Leaders state competition

More than 1,000 students from across the state of Nevada competed in more than 40 medical competition events.

Nevada governor's directive supports high school students graduating on time

Steve Sisolak issued a Declaration of Emergency on Wednesday that would continue to support districts and schools in providing opportunities for students to learn from a distance during the COVID-19 pandemic. The directive builds on a previous directive signed March 20, 2020 by the Governor, which waived requirements for state assessments, including Smarter Balanced assessments and end of course exams.

Sisolak ordered school sites and non-essential businesses to close, what may not be known to the general public is the governor has identified public schools as an essential service.
School districts across the state have been working feverishly to develop a system of remote teaching and learning. This new method of holding school begins Monday, March 23.

Two Damonte Ranch High School students found dead in South Reno home

According to officers, they have located four people dead in the home on March 4th. They believe that they are all members of the same family who reside there.

It is critically important that we speak to our kids about what healthy relationships look like and what to do if they turn abusive.

CHS Agriculture Mechanics, Welding, and FFA Adviser and teacher Rebecca Glocknitzer said, "I know all of our students worked hard to prepare for Zone, and Mr. Mann and I are so proud of their efforts."

Washoe County coroner: High school student deaths investigated as possibly drug related

While the cause of death has not been determined for either student, the Office says the deaths are being investigated as possibly drug-related.

Carson City community donates 159 winter coats for kids as part of Carson Nugget fundraiser

Carson City schools see hike in graduation rates for fourth straight year

Critical care physician named to cardiovascular clinical faculty in UNR Med, Carson Tahoe Health partnership
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 10/29/2019 - 3:46pmFollowing a collaborative recruitment between the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and Carson Tahoe Health, Lorrel Toft, M.D., F.A.C.C., a cardiovascular critical care physician and researcher, has been recruited as an associate professor for UNR Med’s Department of Internal Medicine as well as a cardiologist on staff with Carson Tahoe Health.
