On Monday, Zach Sever signed a letter of intent to run cross country and track for Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn.
Carson High School Cross Country seniors run 20.20 mile relay

They began on the westside of Carson, ran up through Lakeview to loop around Franktown Road and finished at Bower’s Mansion State Park.

Hansen won the 5K race in a time of 17:07, outlasting Zach Sever of Carson who was second in 17:15.

Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Sat, 08/31/2019 - 1:42pmTeagan Hansen won the Small School Race in a time of 14:04. Andreas Gilson was 20th in 15:42 and William Webster was 38th in 16:42. In the Girls Small School Race Kailey Fitzpatrick was 14th in 21:23, Sierra Carranza was 19th in 23:34, Ava Zimmerman was 20th in 23:35, and Christi Kennedy was 21st in 24:10.
The Falcons next meet is September 13 in Tahoe City.
Sierra Lutheran XC opens Season

The Falcons got solid performances from Christi Kennedy (36th Girls Freshman), Sierra Carranza (38th Girls Sophomore), Aaron Waite (47th Boys Sophomore), Will Webster (39th Boys Sophomore), Andreas Gilson (47th Boys Junior), and Jacob Tack (50th Boys Junior). Sierra Lutheran will run next Friday at the Nevada Twi-light Classic in Reno. Andreas Gilson is the runner pictured.

Sierra Lutheran Cross Country team attends meet in Idaho

The meet is named after Bob Firman, an icon in the XC community who has attended this meet for the past 43 years, handing out the awards.
Senator Square: Nevada Week of Respect

- The American Sign Language club is going to be signing songs at lunch on Thursday.
- The Gay-Straight Alliance is going to be putting up a respect wall - a giant poster for people to write what they respect about someone else.
- There will be a daily announcement with a tip on being an upstanding young adult.
