Nevada division for aging, disabled receives nearly $7 million in CARES funding

University of Nevada graduates largest class to date

Due to inclement weather, all ceremonies were moved to the Lawlor Events Center instead of the University’s quad.

Carson City HOSA students compete in state competition, take home 6 chapter awards

There were a total of 74 students from Carson High School (CHS), 6 from Pioneer High School (PHS) and 13 from Carson Middle School (CMS). More than 1,000 students from across the state of Nevada competed in more than 40 medical competition events.

Saturday morning, with line-up at 7:45 and procession at 8:15 a.m., will be the Reynolds School of Journalism, College of Liberal Arts and College of Education.

The commencement exercises will take place in three ceremonies Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16 and will be held on the University’s historic Quadrangle, located on the southern part of campus. Each ceremony focuses on particular colleges and, for the first time, grant both undergraduate and graduates degrees for each of those colleges.
UNR students, faculty and staff stand up for sexual assault awareness
Submitted by editor on Thu, 04/02/2015 - 10:51amSince the February release of results from a student survey regarding sexual conduct and safety, a number of efforts to strengthen a supportive campus climate, one with zero tolerance for sexual assault, sexual misconduct and other life-damaging actions, have been put in place at the University of Nevada, Reno.
In March, the University launched a 24-hour Sexual Assault/Sexual Misconduct Hotline, allowing students, faculty and staff to report incidents that occur on or off campus. The caller may remain anonymous if he/she chooses. The hotline phone number is 775-784-1030.

Pennington Student Achievement Center at the University of Nevada, Reno, a 78,000 square-foot building that will unite a myriad of student services now scattered across campus.
