The public service announcement took a gold award as well as the coveted “Judges Choice” award.

This year our venue is again returning to Davis Creek Regional Park in Washoe County, NV. because this event coincides with Nevada's Free Fishing Day, no licenses will be needed. Sign ups are from 6-8 a.m. behind the lodge. Entry fee is $10 per person; up to three lines in the water. Each entrant must have a valid/current fishing license. No exceptions. All fishing rules/laws must be followed.
New Nevada rules in effect to reduce the spread of aquatic invasive species

Mile High Jazz Band at Comma Coffee is the hot ticket tonight. Such a beautiful day in store, they’ll probably be in the courtyard. Our rivers and reservoirs are filled to the brim: if you ever wanted to learn more about fly-fishing, this is probably a good time for it. The Carson City Fly Fishing Club meets monthly at the Carson City Airport and is a perfect choice for those who already love or are curious about the sport.

Don’t let your parade get rained out though, downtown Carson will march right through this wet stuff. The early Spring Farmers Market debuts today behind Due Sorella at Nevada and Musser Streets. Grab the kids and enjoy today’s open house with free admission at the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada. Stick around for the monthly Downtown Business Association wine walk and find something for Mothers’ Day at one of our wonderful local shops.
