Carson Ski Team prepares for State

The Carson Senator Ski Team wrapped up a great season last week hosting the final race of the season at Kirkwood. Trevor Castillo led the Senators with a 15th place finish.

Carson City Symphony to feature 'LatinXpressions' concert Sunday at community center

The Carson City Symphony, directed by David Bugli, will present the first of four “LatinXpressions” concerts on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 4 p.m., at the Carson City Community Center's Bob Boldrick Theater, 851 E. William Street in Carson City. The concert highlights music and dance of Latin America as well as classical compositions.

Relay for Life fundraiser happening Feb. 25 at Carson City's Firehouse Subs

Carson City Sheriff: Man suspected in home intrusion dies from stabbing, investigation continues

A man who was stabbed after allegedly and possibly at random entered a Woodside Drive home late Saturday night has died, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

Come join Muscle Powered for a free, guided group walk, hike, or ride around Carson City! Muscle Powered is a local non-profit organization that promotes walking, hiking, biking and trail building.

The Thursday, Feb. 20 hike is at Linear ditch, central near Fremont Elementary School. Meet on Cardinal Way off of Saliman Road.

Thursday hikes start at 3 p.m. and are 2-4 miles with duration of about 90 minutes, sometimes with elevation gains of 500’ or more. Water and closed-toed shoes are required.

Hat and poles recommended If weather conditions are bad hikes will be cancelled.

Brewery Arts Center debuts female version of 'The Odd Couple' beginning Friday
