October gaming revenue in Carson City area, Lake Tahoe sees increase over 2019 figures

Carson City and Carson Valley gaming revenue was up in October by nearly 2 percent compared to October 2019, according to figures released Tuesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Three Quad-County residents die Friday from COVID-19; 34 new cases brings total to 2,868, 720 remain active

Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting three additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. Two of the individuals were Lyon County residents and one was a Carson City resident.

COVID-19 Task Force takes action on high transmission risk counties such as Carson City, Lyon and more

The Nevada COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force met with nine counties flagged for having an elevated risk of transmission of COVID-19.

Evacuations lifted following wildfire in Foothill and Mottsville areas of Douglas County

UPDATE 6:43 p.m. Voluntary evacuations have been lifted. Motsville Road remains closed but should be opening soon, according to the Douglas County government Facebook page.

Douglas County flagged for elevated COVID cases; public asked to test, follow CDC guidelines
