This started the process which has now led her to open Nobility Trauma Clean-Up LLC, which serves the tri-county regions of Carson City, Douglas County and Lyon County in crime scene cleanup, trauma cleanup, meth-lab decontamination, hoarding, and more.

Nicholson was a member of the Heavenly Ski Patrol and had been working that day. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Washoe County Coroner’s Office is working to identify a cause of death, according to a DCSO news release.

Rye, announced Tuesday that the Third Judicial District Court sentenced James Parisi, 39 years of age, of Dayton, Nev., to the maximum sentence of 20 years in the Nevada State Prison with parole eligibility after seven years on one count of duty to stop at the scene of an accident causing death.

Eric was born March 28, 1980 in Seattle, Washington but moved to Carson City shortly after, where he spent all his growing-up years. Eric bled Nevada blue and white as a wrestler, running back and Captain for the Carson High Football program. He was always happiest driving the ball up the field.

Officer Hartsell joined the Reno Police Department in April of 2019, and graduated from the Northern Nevada Law Enforcement Academy on December 3, 2019.

Nevada’s bear harvest is small in number when compared to other states like California with a limit of 1,700. The rancor over Nevada’s bear hunt is among the nation’s loudest and most bitter. It’s an ongoing fight replete with lawsuits, restraining orders and death threats. Perhaps more than any other issue, the brawling over Nevada’s bear hunt is a reflection of the changing nature of a state with one of the nation’s lowest percentages of rural residents and fastest growing urban populations.

Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 12/17/2019 - 3:30pmUPDATE 5:14PM: From Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong: At approximately 1:48 p.m., a hiker in the hills between Carson Tahoe Hospital and Lakeview Estates discovered the remains of a deceased older male. The remains were largely buried in snow. Detectives have processed the scene and removed the body for transport to the Washoe County Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy, scheduled for Thursday. Identification of the remains and cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. No other information is available at this time.

Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Thu, 10/24/2019 - 3:42pmBarbara Joy Mott was born to Frank and Ruby Clair in La Junta, Colorado on Oct. 3, 1932. She was Frank and Ruby's second child and only daughter. Her father was a blacksmith and metal worker but passed away when Joy was only ten years old.
After Frank's death the family made its living by picking fruit in California such as peaches, almonds, grapefruit, plums and sometimes cotton. Barbara always went by her middle name Joy and said that she didn't know that her first name was Barbara until she was in the fifth grade.
