The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1976, presents Christmas at the Trailer Park with Antsy McClain on Friday, Dec. 9 in the Maizie Harris Jesse Black Box Theater.

Let the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra put your family in a festive mood at their annual Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. on December 10 at the Carson Valley CVIC Hall.

This free concert will feature traditional tunes such as White Christmas, Oh Holy Night and Silent Night. The Voices of the Sierra Choir will perform several holiday selections and the always-popular holiday sing along is also planned.

Led by Co-Conductors Stephanie Reynolds and C.J. Birch, this performance is a perfect way to celebrate the holidays with your friends and family.

Reno-based, non-profit handbell ensemble, Tintabulations, presents "Thanks for the socks," a 2016 holiday concert held Dec. 19 in Carson City at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, 3870 South Carson Street, beginning at 7 p.m.

Consort Canzona, a select group of instrumentalists and singers that specializes in early music, will present two “Lessons and Carols” concerts this Holiday Season: Friday, Dec. 2, 7 p.m., at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church, 3680 Highway 395 (just south of Best Buy) in Carson City, and Saturday, Dec. 3, 5 p.m., at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville. Admission to both concerts is free, donations welcome.

Brewery Arts Center is currently in the running to bring a 10 week live music series to Carson City during the Summer of 2017. With the Levitt AMP Carson City 2016 Award, the Brewery Arts Center was able to bring in such Nationally renowned groups as Mumbo Gumbo, Southern Drawl Band and SambaDa’, for FREE concerts for 10 straight Saturday nights and became the cornerstone of entertainment and family friendly activities all summer long.

Brewery Arts Center is now in the running to bring back the 10 week FREE live music series to Carson City once again during the Summer of 2017.

Sponsored by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, a national foundation dedicated to strengthening the social fabric of America through free live music, Brewery Arts Center hopes to qualify as one of 15 winning organizations competing in the Levitt AMP Grant Awards just as they did in 2016.

Each fall the Reno Phil offers families the opportunity to experience a symphonic music concert developed with youngsters in mind; full of musical education and activities to keep the attention of the young audience. This year’s concert, “el día de los muertos,” takes place Saturday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. at the Pioneer Center for Performing Arts. The concert is free however tickets must be reserved online in advance. All ages are welcome.

The Carson Valley Pops Orchestra will delight young and old with a lineup of musical selections with a “Flight of Fantasy” theme, at their annual fall concert, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Carson Valley CVIC Hall.

This free concert will feature selections from Star Wars, Star Trek, music from Apollo 13, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones, among others. Led by Co-Conductors Stephanie Reynolds and C.J. Birch, former band director at Carson High, this performance is a perfect way to celebrate the changing of the seasons with your friends and family.

Carson Chamber Singers, conducted by Michael Langham, will present its 2016 Fall Concerts on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s in the Mountains, 111 S. E Street in Virginia City, and on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at Shepherd of the Sierra, 3680 US Highway 395 South in Carson City.

The Good Intentions and Rick Shea will perform in concert Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 at the Silver City School House.
The event It is a fundraiser for the School House, Silver City Arts and the new outdoor venue in the Silver City Park called the Silver Pavilion.

Battle Born Harley Davidson takes motorcycles, leather and the roaring thunder to the street during the Street Vibrations Event, this Wednesday through Sunday: Sept. 21 through 25.

One last chance awaits to enjoy the Reno Balloon Races or Virginia City’s annual Camel Races, so don’t miss out. A remembrance ceremony will take place at the World Trade Center I-Beam Memorial in Mills Park to honor those lost fifteen years ago. Irish-American singer-songwriter Ryan Davidson appears at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall in Carson City this Saturday to open the 2016-2017 season of BAC’s popular Celtic Series.

Attention musicians: The Carson City Symphony will begin rehearsals for the 2016-17 concert season on Wednesday, August 31, 7:00 to 9:15 p.m., at the Carson High School band room, 1111 N. Saliman Road in Carson City.

The Symphony, conducted by David Bugli, is a volunteer orchestra of about 60 players who perform music from the 15th to 21st centuries. It is open to string players at any time without audition, and to other instrumentalists when positions are available.

Rex Allen Jr. carries on the cowboy tradition this weekend in Minden, Nev. Fans have a rare opportunity to join the legend horseback on the trails his father, Rex Allen, made famous on the big screen. The concerts are also “bucket list” shows, since Rex Allen Jr. is on his farewell Sunrise to Sunset Tour.

The weekend has arrived and there are festivals everywhere. A Basque Festival and Picnic can be found in Gardnerville. Bowers Mansion hosts a Bluegrass Festival for the 31st year. Ta-Hoe Nalu Paddle Festival returns to King Beach for the weekend. The Annual Jazz and Beyond Music Festival has infiltrated the whole valley with musicians. A pair of Northern Nevadans provided entertainment to hundreds gathered at the Minnesota Street Stage at the Brewery Arts Center (BAC) Saturday night, part of the Levitt-AMP Carson City Concert Series.

The music was loud and lively Saturday night on the Minnesota Street Stage as Nashville's Southern Drawl Band entertained a crowd of hundreds as headline act for this weekend's Levitt-AMP concert series.

This Saturday, July 23 at 7pm the Levitt AMP Carson City Concert Series will open with Carson City’s own Whatiddo and award-winning Nashville band Southern Drawl Band will take the stage at 8pm.

Summer nights were made for outdoor concerts. Bring a chair and enjoy All Hat, No Cattle at Dangberg Home Ranch Historical Park. The annual Reno Corvette Club Show and Shine will give you something to drool over. Mile High Jazz Band Association and Carson City present the 13th Annual Jazz & Beyond Festival. It features 17 days of Music and Art at multiple venues in Carson City, August 5-21.
