The award, created in 2007, recognizes individuals or organizations that actively demonstrate a 10-plus year commitment and accomplish plans and projects to improve and sustain the Carson River Watershed.
Carson River Coalition Main Meeting, October 21, 2015

Roop Street, Carson City, NV. Daniel P. Beard, Former Commissioner at the Bureau of Reclamation and Author of Deadbeat Dams is the keynote speaker. His talk will give a unique perspective on water issues and policies facing the western states.

Longtime Carson City businessman, elected leader Pete Livermore dies

Livermore was a Nevada Assemblyman who decided this year that he would not seek re-election. He began in the Assembly District 40 on Feb. 7 2011. Before that, Livermore was a member of the Carson City Board of Supervisors, 1998-2010; was Mayor pro Tem, Carson City, 2004-2006.
Carson water district responds to drought; enhances flows in the West Fork of the Carson River

To enhance flows along the West Fork of the Carson River, the Carson Water Subconservancy District is utilizing their storage water rights to supplement water in the watershed.

Grants of $11.9 million approved go to Lyon County for septic tank project near Dayton
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 09/11/2013 - 9:28amLyon County has been awarded $11.9 million in grant and loan funds through USDA Rural Development Nevada to build a waste water collection system for nearly 500 users who are currently on septic tanks near Dayton. The project aims to reduce nitrate problems.

Carson Water Subconservancy District names Brenda Hunt as new Watershed Coordinator
Submitted by editor on Mon, 08/29/2011 - 3:44pmCARSON CITY, Nev. — Brenda Hunt has joined the Carson Water Subconservancy District staff as its new Watershed Coordinator. She replaces Genie Azad who left the district after nine years. Genie will continue natural resources work as a consultant.
Hunt earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Natural Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters of Art in Environmental Science from Monash University located near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Carson River Coalition ramps effort to fight aquatic invasive species threat
