Thursday Hike to Foothill Trail to East End of Hobart Road hosted by Muscle Powered

Join us for free hikes each week to enjoy Nevada outdoors around Carson City! Meet at the northwest corner of the Cancer Center at Carson Tahoe Hospital.

Bring a friend and/or friendly dogs. All hikes are 2-4 miles with duration of about 90 minutes, sometimes with elevation gains of 500’ or more. Water and sturdy or athletic shoes are required. Hat, sunscreen and hiking poles recommended. Some trails are dirt and others are paved.

HopeFest 8 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital raised $30,000 for cancer patients, before fundraiser even began

HopeFest 8, a fundraiser benefitting cancer patients of Northern Nevada, returned for its eighth year Friday night at the Carson Tahoe Cancer center, but before the fundraiser had even began employees of Carson Tahoe raised $30,000 in the few months leading up to the benefit.

For the past four years, Angels With Flowers has donated floral arrangements to hospitals and senior care centers throughout the Carson City area. On Monday, the program, established by local florist Lori Morris, donated its 99th and 100th arrangement of 2018.

The Trippin King Snakes take the stage in McFadden Plaza for a free all-ages show. CHS opened its doors a little longer, a little wider, and totally unplugged for Sept. 11-17, 2017. Students and staff participated in daily activities supporting and encouraging a non-digital learning environment. Cancer patients were treated Friday morning to a fly-fishing retreat in Gardnerville co-hosted by Carson Tahoe Cancer Center and Casting For Recovery, a national organization that has been funding outdoor events for cancer patients over the past two decades.
