Events lined up feature morning and evening walks hosted by Muscle Powered, Carson City TRIAD will give a presentation at the senior center on scams targeting older adults. Also on tap, the Carson City Classic Cinema Club presents a Jimmy Stewart favorite "You Can't Take it With You" at the BAC; if you love music, there's Big-Band Jazz X2 at the Carson City Community Center, and you can join Carson Now as it celebrates its 10th anniversary at Living the Good Life.

Carson City supervisors to tackle water rate hike, pot dispensary hours and Halloween calendar change

Items on the docket for the meeting include an increase in water rates, proposed marijuana dispensary changes in allowed operating hours, trick-or-treating a day before Halloween, and more.

Nearly 22,000 homebuyers since 2014 get help through Nevada Housing Division program

This number includes 1,497 veterans and active military personnel served by the HIP for Heroes program and 796 Nevada teachers through the HIP for Teachers program.
Noble Studios to award more than $200,000 in services to Nevada nonprofits

Meet at Fremont Elementary School, 1511 Firebox Rd, Carson City. in the south parking lot, next to the Linear Ditch Trail.
Ride will normally consist of two loops which are 10-15 miles long each. The ride pace will vary depending on rider level, but will usually be about a 12-16 mph pace.
