An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday evening at 6:10 p.m. in the 900 block of East Musser Street for suspicion of misdemeanor embezzlement, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

Carson City Sheriff's Office detectives served a felony warrant Saturday morning at 8:10 a.m. on 44 year-old Carson City resident Barrak Lauderbaugh at his residence in the 3700 block of Woodside Drive, according to the report by a Carson City Sheriff's detective.

We had set out our decoys and had a good early morning hunt, however, it started raining so we packed everything up, leaving the bags of decoys in a dry irrigation ditch.

75 years ago, the USS Nevada was one of the battleships trapped when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. She was the only battleship to get underway during the attack, and according to Naval historian Kermit (Kit) H. Bonner the ship was "the only bright spot in an otherwise dismal and depressing morning" for the United States. Today we remember those lost in that attack, and remember the history behind the battleship that is our battle born namesake. A special exhibit of USS Nevada artifacts, and a lecture on her history are free for all at the State Museum at 1 p.m.

Yesterday, I checked into an AirBnb in downtown El Paso. My lovely friends in San Diego had put me up the night before. We watched a movie called Sicario, a flick about Mexican drug cartels. Needless to say, the movie is partially set in Juarez, the border town right next to El Paso. It was the perfect set up to a nice waterfall of assumption.

Carson City arrests: Man jailed after 70 grams of meth, other drugs and counterfeit money seized

A 33-year-old Markleeville, Calif., man was arrested Saturday on felony drug charges including trafficking after methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin were found along with $200 in counterfeit bills, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
