Author and photographer Stephen H. Provost has released a new historical tour guide for Carson City's own Highway 395.

"Sierra Highway: U.S. 395 and El Camino Sierra in California and Nevada" is the fourth volume in his growing "Highways of the West" series, joining "America's Loneliest Road" (U.S. 50, which also touches on Carson City history), "Victory Road," and "The Lincoln Highway in California."

Bonners Fairy: The story of teenage twins who discover a hidden portal to another realm.

Local author publishes first book

“John Walker had always known he’d have to come back. No one runs away from a past like his and just walks away clean. Not in the books he’d written or the script he’d just finished. He didn’t blame his wife for being furious with him.”

This is the opening paragraph of local author Jeani Ambrose’s first published book, Legacy of the Father. Legacy can best be described as a paranormal mystery with romantic overtones.
