Live auction for Carson City benefit Under the Stars concert grows, includes experience packages

The live auction at the Concert Under the Stars, a benefit for The Greenhouse Project, is anticipated each year and has grown to include an even greater array of experience packages and service items.

Now in its 11th year, the Concert Under the Stars begins 5:30 p.m. July 10 at the Eagle Valley Golf Course, 3999 Centennial Park Dr. in Carson City. The evening includes world-class and legendary music by Poco, Pure Prairie League and Firefall — as well as the live auction which takes place between performances.

Following a Carson City Historical Society Board meeting on Feb. 11, Board members gathered for a little celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the CCHS.

The Nevada Landmarks Society (NLS) was founded on February 11, 1969, in order to preserve the Roberts House, the yellow Gothic Revival-style house at 1207 North Carson St., now known as the Foreman-Roberts House. The NLS later became the Carson City Historical Society.

Carson City Toyota campaign celebrates 25 years of giving to Boys & Girls Clubs, donates $10K match to community donations

The Carson City Toyota Community Cares campaign celebrated a quarter century of giving to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada with a $10,000 check. Since 1993, Carson City Toyota has matched community donations totaling thousands of dollars. Altogether, the Campagni Auto Group, along with matching support from the community, has provided the Club with nearly $250,000 in operating funds over the past 25 years.

The Nevada Artists Association (NAA) invites the public to the Grand Re-Opening of its gallery at 449 King Street in Carson City from 4-6 PM on Saturday, February 24. The event, which will include live music and refreshments, also marks the opening of the Winter Show, a judged show open to members and non-members alike.
The gallery, adjacent to the Brewery Arts Center complex, was refurbished during the winter and refreshed with new carpet, paint and lighting.
