The show features several guests with a variety of expertise including: landscaping, insurance, finance, and foreclosures. New episodes have been planned and will air in September, October and November.
Gov. Gibbons Optimistic Congress Will Extend Medicaid Program That Means $88 Million To Nevada Budget
Submitted by on Tue, 06/08/2010 - 1:58pmCARSON CITY – Gov. Jim Gibbons expressed optimism today that Congress will act to extend Medicaid funding that was counted on by state lawmakers in February when they approved an $800 million plan to balance the budget.
Sparks goes Carson City Supervisors one better on budget cutting
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Thu, 04/01/2010 - 9:56amFacing a budget shortfall about half of what Carson City faces over the next two years, Sparks City Council members say they will cut their own pay just like they've asked city workers, including police, fire fighters and their engineers that their pay be cut 7.5% each year for the next two years. Meanwhile, Carson City Supervisors have laid down the law that there will be layoffs in both the Sheriff and Fire Departments although the deputies labor association says it would prefer furloughs or pay cuts instead. There's been no mention by the Superivsors that their own pay should be cut.
