CycleNation returns to Northern Nevada to Support The American Heart Association, American Stroke Association

The fundraiser begins at 5:30 p.m. and will include food trucks, yard games, and music. The stationary bike sunset ride begins at 6 p.m. and lasts for two hours. CycleNation is nationally sponsored by Amgen and is locally sponsored by Carson Tahoe Health.
Governor Sandoval signs bill requiring all Nevada students to learn CPR before graduating
Submitted by editor on Mon, 05/15/2017 - 2:11pmGovernor Brian Sandoval on Monday officially signed Assembly Bill 85 into law, requiring all Nevada students to receive instruction in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, also known as CPR, and the use of an automated external defibrillator before graduation from high school.
American Heart Association applauds Nevada passage of statewide Stroke System of Care

“We’re very pleased to see this important bill become a law. Legislation like Senate Bill 196 is part of the efforts going on nationwide to improve the system of care that have led to significant reductions in stroke deaths and improved care,” said Rick Casazza, Board Chair, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Northern Nevada.
