A Carson City Tradition: Signups available for Christmas Eve stops by Santa, CCSO Reserve Uniform Officers
It’s that time of year again to arrange a visit by Santa on Christmas Eve. Good cheer and the handing out of presents will be the order of this special evening, thanks to the Carson City Sheriff's Office Uniform Reserve Unit, Search & Rescue, and Mounted Unit Volunteers. This special visit has been a Carson City tradition for 30 years now.
Enjoy pictures of the kids with Santa are moments to remember a lifetime. Carson City residents who would like Santa to visit their home Christmas Eve can call the Santa Hotline at (775) 283-4728.
Please leave a message with Santa’s elves with your name, address, contact phone number, number of children, location of gifts to be distributed, and the approximate time you would like Santa to visit.
Please understand this visit is limited to residents of Carson City only, and Santa has numerous other locations to visit. Therefore, Santa will likely only be with you for a quick 10-15-minute visit, before having to dash away!
Visiting hours will be scheduled beginning at 5 p.m. and will conclude by 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Visits may vary 30 minutes on either side of the requested time. The Santa Hotline will be available through December 18, 2023. Santa visits are limited to the first 50 homes.
As always, any and all donations will be greatly appreciated by the Carson City Sheriff’s Reserve Organization. Proceeds are used to offset the costs of uniforms, training, and duty gear.
Please join all the families who look forward to this annual event and become part of this Carson City tradition.
