Carson City arrests: Tenant booked for allegedly head butting motel manager

A man was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of misdemeanor battery after allegedly using racial slurs and head butting a motel manager, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

A deputy was dispatched at 10:08 a.m. to a motel in the 600 block of North Stewart Street in reference to a report of a battery between a tenant and manager.

A deputy arrived on scene and made contact with the suspect, who appeared upset and began saying he didn't commit a battery on anyone. He did state he had an argument with the manager but never hit her, according to the arrest report.

The deputy contacted the manager who stated she was speaking with another tenant when the suspect began calling her obscene and racist names. The manager said she asked the man to leave. The manager stated the man approached her and began yelling in her face and then head butted her with enough force to cause her to step backward, the report states.

She stated she wanted a citizen arrest form and would pursue charges. An account of the incident was verified by two witnesses, the report states. Bail: $1,137.
