Carson High School students give back as volunteer servers this Thanksgiving
The Friends in Serving Helping (FISH) annual Thanksgiving feast became a bit more special this year as members of the Carson High School Student Council gave up some of their holiday time to volunteer their services to serve those in the community who might otherwise not enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving spread.
Student Body President Mikey Hoffer said he is proud of his leadership team.
“We wanted to give back to our local community this Thanksgiving by supporting FISH and their Thanksgiving dinner," said Hoffer. "We recognize the invaluable support our local community provides to our school, and we’re excited to give back and have the opportunity to be with our community and make this holiday season a bit brighter for everyone!"
This year, the traditional FISH feast was held at the Plaza Conference Center and has been a Carson City tradition for 65 years.
