Federal Judge issues Temporary Restraining Order against Douglas County regarding Vacation Home Rental Permit Holders, Residents

A 25 year-old Carson City man was arrested early Saturday morning at 12:19 a.m. in the area of East Fifth Street and North Saliman Road for misdemeanor first-offense driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

A Carson City Fire Department brush engine is on scene of a small fire burning at the base of a power line pole located at the corner of Snyder Avenue and Gentry Way in Southeast Carson City.

Additional resources were en route to the scene of a reported brush fire there, but they have since been recalled and the brush engine is handling mop-up.

UPDATE: 12:24PM: Traffic control has been lifted in the areas of the gas leaks. Southwest Gas is on scene at Forrest Way and firefighters are on stand-by at South Lompa Lane awaiting the gas company.

The Carson City Fire Department was dispatched late Friday morning at around 11:45 a.m. to a reported natural gas leak at a residence in the 1600 block of Forrest Way.

Then at about 11:55 a.m., a second gas leak was reported to dispatch at a residence in the 2400 block of South Lompa Lane.

A 33 year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday afternoon at 3:55 p.m. in the 3500 block of Diamond Avenue on felony drug trafficking charges, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, as well as misdemeanor obstruction, drug paraphernalia possession and an active contempt of court bench warrant issued by the Carson City Justice Court.
