Dayton man named in fatal crash outside Lovelock by Nevada Highway Patrol
On Thursday, June 16, 2019, at approximately 7:30 PM, NHP Troopers were dispatched to a serious injury crash on IR-80 and mile marker 91 involving a single vehicle towing a box trailer.
Preliminary investigation shows that a blue 2004 Ford F-350 pickup truck towing a box trailer was traveling eastbound on IR-80. The driver of the Ford allowed the vehicle to travel into the left dirt shoulder, striking a paddle marker. The Ford rotated and overturned and the driver was ejected. The Ford came to rest on its roof facing west in the center median. Unfortunately, the driver (Brandon Lindsey, a 35-year-old Dayton resident) succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The left lane of eastbound IR-80 was closed for the investigation. Traffic was rerouted into the right lane until all eastbound lanes of travel were reopened at 2:00 AM.
